LANDSAT. A series of U.S. satellites used to study the Earth’s surface using remote sensing techniques.
LIGHTBAR. It is a navigation tool coupled with a GPS designed to keep the driver on course. Applications include planting and fertilizer applications to reduce skips and overlaps. Typically, guidance is provided through a series of LED lights.
LATITUDE. A north/south measurement of position perpendicular to the Earth’s polar axis.
LONGITUDE. An east/west measurement of position in relation to the Prime Meridian, an imaginary circle that passes through the north and south poles.
